We may be new but we have a significant background in delivering business results. We are in the process in appointing a new head of architectural and design services to add to our existing senior teams experience and skills, whose bios are as follows:

Ian Hughes

Ian has some 20 years’ experience in economic and property development in both the UK and Overseas.

With a background in both the public and private sectors, he has significant UK experience within all sectors of public sector asset development, ranging from the development of new health and educational facilities; private retail, commercial and housing provision; and growing the social economies asset base – up to a value of £2billion.

His extensive overseas experience includes time spent with The World Bank, European Union, and over 20 International Agencies, delivering business and investment programmes within rural West Africa, emerging Eastern European countries and Scandinavia up to a single project value of $500m.

In 2007 he was appointed as Trustee Director of Dublin based international development and aid agency ConcernWorlwide, which has a turnover of $400million and a presence in over 40 developing countries.

UK Public Sector Appointments include:
Board Member of Strathclyde European Partnership 1997-2004.
Advisor to the Scottish Government 1996-2006 within the following policy groups:
Social Capital and Asset Management within the Public Sector.
Housing Associations as Regeneration Vehicles.
Use of Planning Gain in Property.
Social Economy Growth.

Ian won the Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1997, and was made a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2008 for services to Enterprise.

Linda Fleming
Finance & Investment Associate

Linda is a qualified chartered accountant, with over 20 years international experience with blue chip private sector companies such as Kwik-Fit and McDonalds, both of which have large property portfolios. She has provided financial analysis/modelling on investment appraisal decision making throughout Europe from acquiring right sized sites, setting rents for investors and franchisees through to disposing of property outright or by sales and leaseback.

Her public sector experience includes operating as the Finance Director of the Glasgow Housing Association during the initial start up phase. She was heavily involved in preparing the financial section of business plan for the initial pitch for funding to the Scottish Executive and the financial institutions.

Other major projects she has delivered include:
Integration, rationalisation of finance functions/back office/shared service
Improvements of major IT systems and identifying organisational needs
Due diligence for sale of Kwik-Fit @ £800million to a private equity partner

Linda is a Board member of charities Creative Therapies (provision of art therapy to children with mental health issues), and Dance House.

Anne-Marie Stannard

Ann-Marie has 20 years experience in the chemical and manufacturing industries and for the past few years has worked across Scotland with Universities and companies helping them develop their technologies and businesses for commercial growth and success. Working within multi nationals and SME companies has led to a wide understanding of global markets and multi site business development along with how to survive as a small company.

Her extensive experience with private sector business includes senior executive and non executive positions across a spectrum of industries, all asset rich and planning for growth.

Ann-Marie’s work managing large brownfield sites and within the environmental sciences area make her uniquely placed to help others remediate their assets.
